CAS Registers first tranche of Olympic selection cases in Beijing

The first five cases for arbitration have been registered to the Court of Arbitration for Sport Ad-Hoc Division ('CAS AHD') in Beijing in the days leading up to Friday's Opening Ceremony. The Court held the fate of several athletes chances of competing in their hands in a series of selection decisions. However, a review of the decisions issued so far has reiterated the difficulties athletes face if there has been adherence to the event's qualification rules.
