FIFA releases disciplinary and ethics report Pt 2
Players and officials from FIFA clubs were sanctioned over $3.1 million[USD] resulting from breaches found by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee over the last financial year, according to statistics released this week.
These results were detailed by FIFA, earlier this week, who released its annual report on the activities of its independent judicial bodies, the Disciplinary, Appeal and Ethics Committees.
The report breakdowns the over 1,000 cases dealt with by FIFA's judicial bodies over the COVID-19 affected period between 1 July 2020 and 30 June 2021. 856 of these cases were dealt with by the Disciplinary Committee and the remainder by the Ethics and Appeal Committees.
Part 2 of this article series reports on the most common issues and key sanctions issued by the Disciplinary Committee and the cases before the Appeal and Ethics Committee.
