Oldest Olympian faced possible equestrian 'termination'

Australia’s celebrated oldest active Olympian, Mary Hanna, was sanctioned for controversial social media posts impugning Equestrian Australia’s ('EA') head veterinarian in the first contested arbitration case before the Australian National Sports Tribunal (‘NST’).

However, Ms Hanna, who has competed in the Equestrian Dressage events this week and is a six-time Olympian, avoided any suspension or termination despite being sought as a possible remedy from EA. If granted, this would have ended her Olympic journey.
