Shayna Jack two-year ban upheld by CAS, is free to swim

The Court of Arbitration for Sport ('CAS') appeals panel has, whilst disagreeing with the reasons of the original CAS Arbitrator, ultimately upheld the two-year period of ineligibility against Australian swimmer Shayna Jack.

This means, with the original suspension for ingesting the banned substance ligandrol ending on 12 July 2021, Ms Jack is free to commence competitive swimming again after over two years of legal battle.

These proceedings have generated significant debate in the sports integrity and anti-doping community on at least two fronts.
